Cooking has always interested me in one way or the other. It might be coz my Grandmother was a great & awesome cook. (And now I really miss her.)
“There is no love sincerer than the love of food.”― George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman
I was so interested in food that I did alternately apply for Hotel Management course after my XIIth. I had applied with my Dad’s knowledge, and got through screening for a college, but was totally turned down by my Mom when she came to know about it. She worried that I’ll have to do all the work from being a dish cleaner to a caterer. 😛
I love to cook – Experiment actually… 🙂 But its fun!! Being a gourmet or lets say gourmand, cooking the way I like will be more appropriate / satisfying. My dear friend from college Sunil is of “Eat to Live” kind, but its much better to be “Live to Eat” like me and Sujith.
However my thoughts on odd flavoring / ideas of new mixes of a little extra has always been questioned. 😛
But still enjoying a good food is just an awesome experience.
Its not that Cooking and Bachelors/Men never get along well.. Even if there is a well documented recipe to be followed, one cannot go ahead, just coz – all the recipes start something like this ” “Take a Clean dish…”, which is never available at our disposal. 🙂 🙂
And most men hate cleaning the dishes. Trust me, lets say more than 95% (¹) prefer to avoid it at all times. We would prefer a ‘bachelor wash’ (when “others” are not watching ofcourse) or a ‘bachelor plate’ whenever and wherever possible.
In short – I Love to Cook but I never even like the thought of Cleaning the Dishes 🙂
Someday I’d start a small business to cater the ‘n’ number of bachelors who love food and only food. Someday I’ll venture into Restaurant Business, a small takeaway / budget restaurant to start with, with loads of mouth watering dishes.
My idea is to focus the menu on …………………………….. (“I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you”)
You all are welcome add in a few ideas of yours and yes you all are most welcome to savor the tasty dish that shall be served.
And yes you shall pay for them 🙂

PS: To add, my Mother-in-Law is a great cook and she too cooks awesome.
PPS: My Wife cooks pretty good too (Whenever she does)
